What happens at your first appointment
- A thorough assessment. Your physiotherapist takes your history, examines you and explains what they find, with time for your questions. A first appointment usually lasts a full hour.
- A scan where it helps. If a diagnostic ultrasound scan would change the diagnosis or the plan, it can usually be done in the same appointment.
- A plan you agree together. Physiotherapy can start straight away. If an injection is the right next step, it is arranged once you have had time to consider it.

Who you’ll see
Meyer Physio is led by Suegnet Meyer, an Advanced Practice Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and MSK Sonographer with over 30 years’ experience. She holds specialist qualifications in musculoskeletal sonography and ultrasound-guided injection therapy, including Arthrosamid®, and is registered with the HCPC.
The person who examines you is the same person who scans you and, where needed, treats you, so nothing is lost between appointments or passed between professionals.
